Mammal Safari

Did you know that there are many different animals living in the Northwich Community Woodlands? Some are easy to spot like squirrels and rabbits but others are smaller and harder to find such as mice, shrews and voles. By using a special trap which doesn't hurt the animal, we can catch them so we can have a closer look. Whilst in the trap they have food and bedding to keep them safe and then once we have seen them we return them to their homes in the undergrowth.
